In a surprising collaboration that breaks usual predictions, Ubisoft has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Uncovered
According to the authorized release, "An unusual meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome changes resonate through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine sect.
The questline centers on "peculiar trials and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Changes
The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Additional Material
Players who finish the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to several objects concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Third Free Story Addition
